McTay: A Wirral Shipbuilder

£10.00

This book charts the history of a small but significant shipbuilding yard on the River Mersey. Although building vessels for only 30 years from its inception to closure, it was responsible for many innovations in terms of both design and construction. The book includes three appendices. The first of these looks briefly at the history of James N Miller & Sons, a Scottish yard closely associated with McTay. The other two appendices are lists of vessels built at the McTay and Miller yards. It is a fitting followup to the authors earlier Cheshire Shipyards.
